OUR SENIOR PASTOR:
Pastor Rob Vincent is the pastor of Discover Church. Rob has been in ministry for over 25 years and is from Chesapeake Virginia. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Cheryl and they have two sons, Robbie Vincent Jr and Jeremiah Jude Vincent. They also have had the privilege to foster 65 precious babies over the last 10 years. Rob graduated from Virginia Wesleyan College with a degree in Secondary Education, and Liberty University with a Master's Degree in Religious Studies.
Rob has a passion for reaching people who are far from God, especially those who have left the church for whatever reason. His passion is to see people discover God's love in a real way, and share that amazing love with the world.
Rob enjoys reading the Bible, spending time with his family and friends, playing golf, and investing in the lives of the precious babies God has allowed them to love and care for. He is also passionate about building relationships with people to encourage them and share the love of God with them.

THE MISSION OF DISCOVER CHURCH
Love God...Love People...Serve the World
We filter every idea, program, and budget request through our Missions Statement. If what we are planning doesn’t help us fulfill our mission and purpose, then we will not do it.
Our Missions Statement is based on these three teachings from Scripture:
Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
Matthew 22:36-40
"For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord's holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."
